British Eventing
British Eventing
British Eventing is the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of eventing in Great Britain. As the NGB we are responsible for scheduling and regulating all affiliated eventing in the country; we currently have more than 160 events throughout Britain that cater for more than 90,000 entries per season (March – October).
British Eventing is a membership organisation with more than 16,000 members and provides access to affiliated eventing for riders from grassroots level and those just starting out, to riders performing at the highest international level.
To deliver the sport on a national basis and to the highest standard, we train hundreds of volunteers, officials, riders and technical support teams as well as being world leaders in the research and delivery of safety initiatives for the sport.
Alongside providing affiliated eventing between March and October we also run a winter competition series and regional Training & Education, providing high quality courses in all areas of eventing from dressage test riding, show jumping and cross country skills to speed training and unmounted masterclasses.
At The Festival
The Festival hosts four British Eventing National Championships at Novice, Intermediate and Open (CCI4*-S) level, along with the Novice Restricted Championship for amateur riders, and is a key date in the BE calendar. Following its success last year, British Eventing will again be hosting a BE Members’ Pavilion, providing ringside viewing of the Main Arena and is open every day of the Championships. The BE Pavilion will give BE members and their guests a comfortable place to relax, complimentary tea and coffee, CCTV streaming of the competition as well as prime viewing of the action taking place in the Main Arena.
