The Old Berkshire Hunt take top honours in both classes of the Inter Branch Pony Club Team Showjumping
Two sections of Inter branch Pony Club team showjumping, organised by the VWH Hunt Pony Club, took place on Saturday 5th August with fiercely competitive riders contesting the Grassroots 80cm and Novice 90cm classes.
The Grassroots class was open to members who have not competed their horse or pony at Area Novice, Area Intermediate or Area Open show jumping, while the Novice was open to those combinations who had not competed at Area Intermediate or Area Open show jumping. To keep it fair, the rules stipulated that no rider or pony could compete in both classes.
The Old Berkshire Hunt had a very successful day taking the win in both classes. The Grassroots team consisted of Sophia Villiers riding Robanna Miss Britannia, Alice De Quincey Adams riding Texas John, Nell Greatrex and with Del Boy and Sophie Simpson on Docs Glenmagoo. They beat the Beaufort White team who came second and Berkeley Topaz who placed third.
In the Novice team, The Old Berkshire Hunt blue team was made up of Annabel Knight riding WS Charisma, Harriet Robinson riding Sir Geoffrey, Poppy Inglis riding Somerwood Susie and Sophie Simpson riding Docs Glenmagoo. This team came out ahead of their own second placed Old Berkshire Red team and third placed Beaufort Daffodils.
